by the way, aside from your own link that proves the post I boosted was accurate, here is the actual first-hand source.
In 1981 desegregation was under way through an effort to bus black students in all-black schools to segregated white-schools so they can desegregate them and allow the blacks to get the same quality education as these better funded schools could provide.
He spent most of his early career trying to fight these and really all desegregation efforts still ongoing at the time. In fact, he was one of the most vocal segregationists in congress at the time.
Here is a 1982 Senate hearing in which Biden's testimony is recorded. Not only does he make it clear he opposes these desegregation efforts, but it is also the first time he used the "racial jungle" quote in some form and very clearly confirms that a very similar variation of the quote has been spoken by Biden as early as 1982.

Me: I do!

Me: You literally just saw me eat an oatmeal raisin cookie. YOU JUST SAW IT!!!!

No not at all.
Usually when there is a strike the company continues to operate with the striking workers vacant. As a general rule as long as that persons position isnt replaced to nullify the strike then there are no issues. Since as far as I know the show did not replace the striking workers, and did not hire any new writers, they are fine.

It happens. The key is you checked yourself rather than doubling down on bad data as most people do :)

That said I do think acting like its an ordinary cold and flu season is pretty close to good advice. The only exception I'd state is to be extra careful around the elderly and those with compromised immune systems. If your visiting a nursing home, for example, mask up and be careful to wash your hands. But otherwise, live your life, its not healthy obsessing over what viruses or colds are out there, youll spend your whole life in fear and gain very little from it.

If so that would make sense.
Would you prefer there be no affirmitive action and no special benefits given to men during low enrollment? Or do you prefer there is affirmitive action and those special benefits given/

Very responsible of you to recognize that and not act out... please take all the time you need to center yourself and respond when/if you'd like.
I appreciate the effort to remain civil and to not respond that way.

Yup, and to protect others. Clearly the vast majority of the population agree with me and find the discomfort not worth benefits.
So I will take their cue and conclude that most "others" likewise dont want people to wear masks either in our day to day.
I would be ok encouraging people to improve ventilation, no issues there. Assuming we can prove conclusively ventalation is an issue and can find reasonable guidlines to get reasonable results.

Sometimes, when i deem the risk to be low compared to tbe discomfort. For example if all im doing is adjusting my car to mover a few feet uo, then no i wont buckle up. On a highway in the rain most certainly.
Same for masks,i will wear one in, say, a hospital or old folks home where the risk is high and its warranted. But you also have to keep in mind masks are significantly less comfortable than a seatbelt, that effects the equation a bit too.

Not many, and thats the risk you take. Is the small but real chance of long term symtoms worth the comfort of not wearing a mask socially or the other negative aspects of masks (such as its harm to the deaf community).
For me that trade offnis worth it. And with 7 confirmed covid infections i can say so far it remains worth it for me.

I used to check in on twitter once a week or so just to see my notifications and if anyone reached out to me to respond... I have a few thousand followers and would get a few notifications a week so it was worth the effort.
Since musk took over my notifications and declined to a crawl. Now week after week I have consistently no notifications. As a result I check my twitter less and less and even find myself just closing the tab and forgetting about it for long periods.
Im pretty sure im not the only one and twitter is quickly dieing.
My calander tells me the first day of "Hispanic Heritage Month" is september 15th.... umm... thats not ... huh?
nostr:npub1p36pqtsd7as3a8qcqn2tmm3480acgqngaez0mvvta9vkwmcfzg2qduh2h0 I know of plenty of people who use it, in fact there are rather popular brands of iron gall advertised specifically for FP, so it must be a rather popular choice.
The main reason to use iron gall is it is perminant with good writing characteristics. Since it is safe in a pen with gold nib there is really no reason not to use it honestly.
That said I have since moved over to pigment and carbon based ink. The carbon inks have better writing characteristics i find. The main disadvantage to pigments is that they tend to stain clear demonstrators where iron gall does not.
