Navigating the discourse.

China 🇨🇳: “The C-19 laboratory leak theory cannot be ruled out” declared Professor George Gao, a virologist and immunologist who led the Center for Disease Control in China.

During the participation fill podcast organized by the BBC, Gao hinted that the “The government organized something”

The Chinese Embassy in the UK reacted, telling the BBC: "The so-called 'lab leak' is a lie created by anti-China forces. It is politically motivated and has no scientific basis."

good morning, stay humble and stack sats 🫡

"Opium and morphine are certainly harmful and addictive drugs. But once it is admitted that it is the duty of the government to protect the individual against his own folly, no serious objections can be advanced against other interventions. banning the consumption of alcohol and nicotine. And why limit yourself only to protecting the body? Are not the evils that a man can inflict on his mind and soul more serious than bodily harm? you from reading bad books and attending bad shows, from looking at bad paintings and sculptures and listening to bad quality music? The consequences caused by harmful ideologies are certainly much more harmful, both for the individual and for society, than those caused by drug use.

These concerns are not just imaginary specters that have haunted lonely thinkers. It is an undeniable fact that no paternalistic government, ancient or modern, has ever hesitated to regulate the ideas, beliefs, and opinions of its subjects. If man's freedom to determine his own consumption is abolished, all other freedoms will also be abolished. Those who naively advocate government intervention in consumption are deluding themselves by neglecting what they scornfully call the philosophical aspect of the problem. They inadvertently contribute to the establishment of censorship, the inquisition, religious intolerance and the persecution of dissenters."

Mike Maloney's Hidden Secrets of Money series explains how exponential currency dilution has always followed systematic deficits. They are universal evidence in the collapse of governments, going back to ancient Greece and Rome.

#Bitcoin is like primitive electricity. Crude, dangerous, feels very volatile and difficult to use. Over time, it will start to feel safer, easier, and more normal. Like electricity, it will inspire and power unimaginable new industries. And one day we'll ask ourselves how did we live without it?

I think it's impossible for that to happen, I believe that satoshi is already dead (Finney?) and without access to your keys.

Bitcoin is the Moral Imperative just as Mary gave birth to a virgin.

I agree, bitcoin is not for everyone but I think the user experience tends to improve and it will get easier and easier. Umbrel is a great example of this, it's very easy to install and run a node. Although in the future many people will use bitcoin without knowing what it is or how it works.

Why would you go back to something worse than bitcoin? Gold has the shipping problem and you can't check.

Trust but verify.

A monetary system built via the issue of debt by definition dies when people lose faith in it:

- scarily it will spark societal upheaval, war, & likely death

- most of the previously perceived value is worthless

- today it’s not a question of “if” but “when”

For those out there that have spent 100 hours plus researching #bitcoin: what is the biggest threat?

Loucura, BTC ta muito barato!

Brasil vai ficar barato demais pra quem ganha em moeda forte...

The weak copies we refer to as shitcoins 💩 ignore the nature of #Bitcoin. They ignore even the nature of money; believing that "your money has to work for you". Believing that money has to yield some kind of income; this money itself should give a nominal profit.

No. Your money just has to work, period. Your money should be yours and yours alone, and it shouldn't be stolen from you.

If your money requires permission to be spent, it's not your money. If your money has counterparty risk, it's not cash, it's credit.

If your money steals from you, it is not your money, but a government funding and control mechanism. If your money requires identity, it's not money but a social credit scoring system.

Money has no income.

Cash has no counterparty risk.

Cash is not credit.

Money does not need to "grow".

Money does not require ID.

Money has no memory.

The purpose of money is not to know your customer. Bitcoin is a response to the moral failings of fiat money and our fiat monetary institutions.

"Crypto" is a reincarnation of these failed institutions, replacing the friendly faces of clean-shaven bankers with the coy smiles of scruffy teenagers. Some call it progress. I call it unethical.

#BITCOIN IS THE REDISCOVERY OF MONEY

BTC is the rediscovery of money. It's money reconsidered - It's the removal of counterparty risk - It's the purest, fastest, soundest money, reimagined from the ground up. It is computational proof of historical events, building a history.

#Bitcoin is bits of information, a database, it represents a group of people on the Internet who have voluntarily adopted an open source protocol that allows them to protect information using physical energy.

Through a consensus rule, it is the governance system superior to any institution ever made in the history of mankind and morality.

The fight for freedom is a powerful and inspiring topic, and #Bitcoin, as a representation of that fight, has sparked passion and hope in many people around the world. The idea of challenging established structures and seeking alternatives that promote individual freedom is something that resonates deeply with us as human beings. May this story always remind us of the importance of protecting and valuing our freedoms, both financially and in other areas of our lives.
