USA 🇺🇸: Adm Biden offered support for a study on how to prevent sunlight from reaching the Earth's surface, as a way to limit global warming.
Despite some scientists warning that the effort could have untold side effects by altering the chemical composition of the atmosphere, Joe Biden's government has admitted that it is open to the idea.
One method would be to significantly increase the amount of aerosols in the stratosphere, which would reflect the planet's solar rays.
Other ideas floated included increasing cloud cover over the oceans or reducing the amount of cirrus cloud formations, which reflect solar radiation back to Earth.
While insisting it was not definitively moving forward with the plan, the Biden administration insisted in its report that the idea looked promising.
