One among many. Learner, builder, walker and creator of Open Librarian.

If I can ask, what was it he was talking about that you didn’t like? If you remember?

Really? Interesting. I just finished the book last night and the evidence he presented was very compelling and a much more hopeful framing of human behaviour than other similar work.

Just finished it last night. Really enjoyed it, some tough topics in there. Liked they way most chapters lean into the narrative were fed which triggers your (the readers) confirmation bias, before then deconstructing the topic and showing you the reality of the situation. Very powerful stuff, need to get more folks reading it.

You’ll be glad to hear that the one recommendation you gave for me has yielded 8 further recommendations in my immediate circle.

Read Humankind by Rutger Bregman and you’ll be amazed that evidence points to our default settings being better than you think. Then nurture those default instincts, they are the true you.

The pain is real

It really is eye opening right? When I dropped it I found myself getting less frustrated and angry at the clown world. Now I just build within the limited of my control and am happy with it. So much better.

Ace, indeed you take someone (the algo) out of the middle and you get effective communication.

Almost like if you take government out of capital allocation you get more effective use of capital.

Who knew!!

Amy chance of getting a copy of this from somewhere? This is the push I need to start learning and building in rust instead of just being an end user.
