Iโve never had trouble with Sparrow wallet before... Iโm trying to use the Tor Browser as a proxy, and connect to a public node like nostr:npub1tr4dstaptd2sp98h7hlysp8qle6mw7wmauhfkgz3rmxdd8ndprusnw2y5g or Bitaroo.
The browser is open, and I have toggled โuse proxyโ on, entered โlocalhostโ as the Proxy URL, and set the port as 9150 (Iโve also tried 9050).
Tried restarting the browser and the wallet. Tried changing servers. Even changed my VPN in case Sparrow was scared of serving American users. All with no luckโฆ
Did something change in Sparrow or Tor? The setup above has always worked perfectly before.

Also, I have never tried using the Tor browser as proxy. I use the official Linux package of the Tor Proxy software. It runs as a systemd unit on my laptop.

I don't know your exact setup. When Sparrow and Tor do not play well with each other, I nuke the 'tor" folder in the ".sparrow" folder. I do this by renaming it "tor.bak" and then reopening Sparrow again.
Then Sparrow can connect to tor again.
I use Sovran_SystemsOS_Light which is my variation of NixOS.

This was such a fun and high vibe weekend! I really enjoyed presenting to the parents and having discussions on parenting and the philosophy behind good common sense parenting embedded into objective morality.
