The heat wave affecting NW Africa and SW Europe is taking its toll to Canary Islands.
As forecast, today the hot winds from Morocco reached with full blown intensity the islands with temperatures reaching 33.4C at San Nicolas.
5 out of 7 main islands had >30C.

La Niña (ENSO negative phase) was declared officially over by NOAA this week.
Kind in mind that some of Niña effects in atmospheric patterns can still persist in some areas for awhile.
