The black material is called Geo-textile fabric. It acts as a stabilizer and also separates the sub-base and backfill marerials. Water will pass through it also.

It’s definitely a lot work.

It’s a subtle colour combo, and does blend nicely with their house and surroundings.

Some of my clients pick some really cool colours and materials, and others, not so much.

Looking forward to a bit of rest this weekend, my body is hurtin lol.

This past week has been rewarding though.

Here’s a few photos of the job I’m currently working on and should have wrapped up early next week. I know it doesn’t look like much, and really it’s not, just a lot of work that’s all. Client wanted a walkway down the side of the house, a place to bbq in-front of the deck, and a sitting space around the shed. I personally would’ve connected them all, but the client didn’t want that.

What are your thoughts on this colour palette?

Yes I know, my jobsite is unorganized and looks like a war zone and I personally hate it, but that’s just the way it is…always.
