-The feedback loop of liquidity, asset prices, and the economy.

FYI nostr verified domain expired and you're no longer verified on their domain. You don't really NEED nip 5 to verify identity, we have your pub... That's the point of keys. But you can remove it from your profile if you want. It's not doing much.

If you haven't heard this, you should really listen. An incredible piece of media. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpuyEBxoRGc

You're right, coinbase does scale Bitcoin. Just like lightning. By centralizing Bitcoin liquidity with corporations. I know you are trying your hardest to change that but it's not going to work. The architecture simply does not allow for self custody without running a node. Nodes will not be performant when they are only online when someone opens your wallet.

I fail to see how your wallet is the better solution to liquid swap fees. Which is what I clearly meant, but you knew that.

I do something with this tech all the time, I'm building a webui for managing elements nodes. You are the one screaming into the void. You just have more followers.

Elements and boltz are both FOSS. Stop complaining and go build the better solution.

You're like obsessed with lightning being the one size fits all scaling solution for Bitcoin. In reality, the better option is to have as many scaling solutions as possible for different scales. Not just one for all scales.

Not for 21 sat payments sure... Wow those 21 sat payments are so useful to those receiving them. /s But you're lying if you say liquid doesn't scale L1. Of course it does. It's more than realistic to pay a 5c fee on your $3 coffee. which would be about what you would pay. You know like when people actually use Bitcoin to pay for stuff and not for people sending dust to each other to virtue signal. FYI, it's not worth the lightning infrastructure to send 21 sat payments either.

I just don't understand the reason for a massive discretization of something that clearly scales Bitcoin just because it's not the protocol you spent years developing. Sunk cost getting to you?

Wow... This is highly misleading. You didn't pay a 50% fee. You paid 500 sat fee. Which would still be a 500 sat fee if you sent 10,000 sats. Tell me more about lightning scaling Bitcoin and what fees have been subsidized on lightning by passionate devs and VCs. That money is running out. The true cost of lightning is becoming clear. It's not free. It costs a lot of time (read money) to manage liquidity between your nodes.

You're smart enough to know this. I can only assume you mean to deliberately misleading your followers to throw shade on a competing way to send Bitcoin that isn't your precious wallet that will never work at scale because regular people will never run nodes that have 100% uptime. Which is why lightning liquidity is centralized to large corpos and will only continue to get worse.

Not fedimint but it is a federated model just the same.

It I open source but you can use anything commercially from their repository. I'd you can do what you want with the code, you just can't sell anything or make a profit from it. Afaik. I'm also, not an expert.

I'm going to run into more issues redoing most of my infrastructure rather than just staying on umbrel for some time. Umbrel is Open source afaik, just not FOSS. Polyform License.

It's is not easier to use a permissions system than a permissionless one. We are still so early. No one understands the true implications of Bitcoin yet.
