🤔 I think there's a third concept were the "Power to the people" is enforced through the free market (a true one). The government has very little power over the population so it sticks with what make consensus (+90% of the population).
Kind reminder: paper ballots don’t fix the problems in our voting system.
You need the results to be publicly auditable by anyone, and immutably timestamped so they cannot be changed later.
Guatemala already did this.
Why can’t the United States?

Separate you spending bitcoins from your savings. Even though you theoretically should, do not report your spending wallet transactions since the capital gain/loss is not material.
Only transfer a minimum of 1M Sats in your savings wallet (utxo). Only report what you have On-Chain. If you do that, income tax compliance should be easy.
