The first "new" recording of 2024 and we go "Disco", cracked open a bottle of Moet to go with the occasion & it went down well....very well.
Slight hiccup through the early part when the little lad decided to spill some water on the floor but other than that, happy with the kickstart of this new year!
Some absolute Funky belters early on with Da Lukas & great to drop an updated version of "Saturday" which was always a weekend favourite.
Without doubt the finale "Backfired" with Masters at Work steals the show. What a true "House Music" classic. This used to be an almost dead cert to play at Candystore Nightclub back in the day & still sounds superb!

Just realised this one is officially 20 years old.
Recorded back in January 2004 whilst living at Plymouth, UK, this was a favourite for a long while on the playlist at home. Seem to recall it might have even been recorded using belt drive turntables ... can't quite remember now.
One thing for sure, all records were bought from Needle to the Groove record shop down at Frankfurt Gate. Still got all these vinyl records at home too 😎
The favourite track which almost always used to get dropped down at Candystore was "Thrill Me Vs You Don't Even Know Me", just loved that track every time 🎶🎶🎶
Love the opening track on this one, used to play it often.
Seem to recall this CD was also my firm favourite in Nigel's BMW Z3 convertable when we would drive into the bank for our day job.

As we get near the end of old sessions being ripped from the CD, this one on the label simply says May 2004, Groove Digital (opening track label) however, sounds like could have been a Matt L Vs Ferris B session, I distinctly recall dropping a MJ number into a set once with Matt and he was like “ah right, here we go than” as if to say I was enjoying that style, why couldn’t we continue that way. That being said, as it’s dated 2004 on the CD which is 20 years ago now, the memory fades me so could have just been a random set of mine so will let Matt decide.

Uncovered & uploaded for the first time since recording 20 years ago back in 2004, here is the first back to back session with my mate Matt L, AKA, Buster the Party Pirate Patsy. Not quite sure where we were living at the time, I’d guess on Wellington Street in Plymouth when we all shared a lads house together. Think that’s 4 back to back I’ve uploaded into the collection here now.
