It will be 4 services:
1๏ธโฃ Front end
2๏ธโฃ SMTP server
3๏ธโฃ API
4๏ธโฃ Relay
All of the first 3 will be done in a way, that can work without the others:
1๏ธโฃ Front end:
You will be able to get your emails from your relays.
Nothing else will be necessary.
This will make sure, if this service completely fails, you will still have your mails on your relays (Inbox relays). You only need to run the front end, or have a private DM capable client.
Warning: Private DM capable clients won't show the emails in an email like way with merging threads.
2๏ธโฃ SMPT:
It will only need your inbox relays to be online and our relay to get the aliases. It will send your emails to your inbox relays.
If this is down, you won't be able to receive new emails.
3๏ธโฃ API:
This will save your new aliases on our relay.
If this is down, you won't be able to save new aliases.
4๏ธโฃ Relay:
It stores your aliases.
If this is down, you won't be able to save new aliases, and receive emails.
This might be eliminated to be decentralized on multiple relays.
