First week of long service leave/pretending to be a full time novelist: made my 5k goal, yay! It does feel like a job, even though funnier than my real one. #writing
Knocked over my first 1000 words of the new project. Goal is 5k a week while on leave. Here’s my tiny helper. We’re learning how to write better mysteries. 
The 5th black and white is a nice cutout. The first one I’m trying to work out what letters, and there probably is no letters?

Still furiously (furious!) working on this week’s word count goal for the WIP, but in other news I finished The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida and it’s inspired me to work harder at the sentence level. Great #book, deserved its Booker.

Probably my only #writing update this week: decided to take an intermission on the (maths) masters, so I can delicate long service leave to writing the next project. Feels good!
