Shutting out info is more than an “us vs them” issue. There are a variety of reasons one mutes content or people, far more than just creating a self-appealing echo chamber.

Free speech is good. Curation is good as well but try not to curate an echo chamber. It’s healthy to get the other side of things.

Oh I wanna argue with some of you. There are some reprehensible takes on here. For a bunch of “free thinking bitcoiners,” there’s a lot of yall sucking the dick of propaganda. Some of you have made me roll my eyes so hard.

For the most part, I think free speech is working on here. You get to say what you want. So do I. And no one, however, is free of consequences. The consequences are your own.

Social media came along years ago and gave us insight into others’ lives and thoughts. Now it’s a constant stream we can tune into or out of at will. I find myself tuning out a lot more.

The question for me always is, what brings me value? What is adding to my life? Is this a conversation I need to be a part of? What am I adding here?
