I observe that it's a somewhat unpopular current opinion in maxi circles (and I love maxi circles <3), but I think Taproot Assets are indeed potentially useful for stablecoins. We'll see how it shakes out.

A lot of people have ideological beliefs about what "should be", but for people operating every day in developing countries with high inflation, a bitcoin wallet that has BTC and USD, and lets them skip Binance/Tron, could be really useful. There's real market demand for that.

Do I want shitcoins on bitcoin? No. But I think they'll burn themselves out anyway. In the meantime as a bridging tool, dollars on bitcoin would meet a real utility demand and benefit bitcoin adoption overall.

All of my financial stuff seems to end up on Twitter, and all of my based stuff seems to end up on Nostr.

It’s like talking to my followers vs talking to my friends, at least for as long as this dichotomy lasts.

The day that talking to my Nostr friends feels like too many people, would be the day that Nostr has won.

Mempools will never clear

It's annoying to copy your nsec from your phone to the browser's extension on a computer.

What would you prefer?

1. get the desktop to turn on the camera to scan an app-generated QR code with the nsec?

2. find a way to represent the nsec as a list of words so that people can easily write them from one device to another.

Any other ideas?

Recuerdo hace un tiempo comentar que el poder enviar por #LightningNetwork, vía keysend, mensajes a otros nodos, por 1 sat iba a ser catalogado como spam.

Era una opción que a algunos les parecía interesante o otros no.

Ahora veo a algunos quejándose de recibir muchos mensajes con 1 sat y lo califican de spam.

Entiendo que a lo mejor cargan algo la red pero 1 sat es 1 sat, no?

O algo me estoy perdiendo?
