They can't claim without the private key which is in the app. Maybe they can automate opening the app, opening the camera, scanning the code, and then redeeming it (within Sovran app specifically). I don't know how'd they set all that up in such a short time. But its certainly possible!
Plus, in the app we only allow users to redeem 1 ecash token for this event, so it will throw an error if you try to do it twice.
So on the next event I'll likely need to do something even more sophisticated but right now it seems to be bot proof. I posted one the other day that took multiple hours to get redeemed.
