If you have any questions on building models, paints, etc., feel free to reach out. I'm no pro, but I've learned some tips/tricks and found some good resources over the years.

One thing that I'd recommend, that I've learned the hard way, is to use plastic cement instead of any kind of super glue for assembling models. Super glue breaks apart, but cement melts the plastic together and is much more robust. You can also use it for smoothing and filling gaps.

Check out Tamiya Extra Thin Cement; it's my go-to.

For painting anything, check out Vince Venturella's Hobby Painting series on YT. He has a video on how to paint almost anything.

This has been my life at work the past week:

So yeah, I've been filling holes, gaps, and welds that aren't positioned correctly by the robot programmers. Hundreds of them. I just shake my head and keep my hands busy. It's honestly pretty pleasant work. I'm very good at aluminum TIG. It is easy to get into a really good flow state and I can listen to music and podcasts and no one bothers me at all. 😁 I get to stack dimes in the fiat mines so I can convert more fiat into BTC for my future!

Stack dimes. Stack sats.

Nice!

Seeing models getting built, painted, and on the table is rewarding.

10th ed. is really streamlined, but still has a lot of depth. You can have fun at any skill level. And, the game has probably never been more accessible for new players.

Having solid people to play with is key, though.

I managed to avoid getting caught in the Mt. Gox debacle by pure luck. I stuck with Kraken and Coinbase mostly during the 2016-2018 era but still wasn’t hardcore on self-custody.

By 2020 I was convinced that we’d arrived and putting some bitcoin on Voyager to earn interest was safe. I read a piece by nostr:npub17u5dneh8qjp43ecfxr6u5e9sjamsmxyuekrg2nlxrrk6nj9rsyrqywt4tp that convinced me I was wrong so I pulled my bitcoin back to cold storage and after seeing how easy it was I went and got it all off exchanges. Voyager collapsed a few weeks later. I ran into nostr:npub17u5dneh8qjp43ecfxr6u5e9sjamsmxyuekrg2nlxrrk6nj9rsyrqywt4tp In El Salvador and got to thank him in person. Saved me about a half million in today’s prices.

Bull markets make us dumb and the side effect is exchanges blow up and plebs get ruined. Self-custody is easier than ever. If you don’t self-custody, please start. If you do, find someone who doesn’t and teach them.

Tell me more.

I've been unsucessfully trying for a while, now.

Finally got a full BTC node running that stores the blockchain in a larger drive!

Looking back, it's not that complicated, but I learned a lot about Linux in the process and didn't blow anything up. Thanks for being a great community, NOSTR!

Now, just waiting for the blockchain to download and digging into running Core Lightning.

It seems like Trump does have an in with The Hulkster, though.

Lol!

Too bad R. Lee Ermey isn't still around.

I can hear the noise of plastic sliding on plastic and that sweet click home.

For the last few weeks, there has been lots of normies at work talking about conspiracy theories they believe to be true without trying to hide it.

I heard another conversation this morning about border theories, and I just listened from afar and smiled.

Feels good, man. Gives me hope.
