Yin Yang of computer science, seedsafe.io

There is a typo in the text above, it should say 2047 (111 1111 1111). With the binary seedsafe (12BZ) when the random seed word is 2048 we leave the position empty, as we do not have any representation for bit 12 for reasons of exposure of the seed word. This works out logically because the index number for the first word in the bip039 list (abandon) is 1 not 0 (zero).

If it is artificial it can’t be intelligent. If it is intelligent it can’t be artificial.

I always thought telco would be much better equipped to handle business critical highly available streaming micropayment infrastructures than banks, simply because they have already (unwillingly of course) gone through the very painful process of transforming its entire business model multiple times from copper lines, to mobile phones, to voice over IP. Banks on the other hand have yet to be hit by the force of the internet in that same way. Until now. Until Bitcoin.

Once Bitcoin as an idea reached escape velocity it brought the minds of humanity beyond the digital event horizon to never again return to the destructive world of fiat. It became impossible to go back.

Bitcoin is highly abstract in that is not a metaphysical thing even though it manifests itself in such a way. It is highly physical and virtual at the same time. It has no off switch and belongs to all people. It nudges all these hopelessly corruptable humans to move away from privilege and over to value hard work, skills and talent. Study Bitcoin. The same world, only better.

I agree, we have really tried to make seedsafe as simple as possible to use, but also working hard to reducing elements and parts to make the flow and steps in the production process to an absolute minimum through countless attempts and iterations over the years. The specific12Z (zodiak) version is an enigma wrapped in a riddle, but for a good reason. The thought is to focus on making it a _backup_ as in something you go back to in order to verify something. Meaning, by design, supporting the user to actually remember the number sequence (a.k.a. Brain Wallet) by associating numbers to the zodiac _symbols_. You do not even need to remember the sequence or order (these will never change as the constellations are sequenced in order over time across the night sky over the duration of a year) as long as you feel comfortable remembering and associating your unique number (bip-0039 index) with for example the aquarious _symbol_ and so on, this is very easy for the brain to do. We’re generally quite good at this kind of association. That was the basic idea anyway.

Welcome to binary space! As you know there are only 10 types of people, those who get binary numbers and those who don’t.

I caved for the nerds request to go ahead and create a binary variance of the seedsafe. What do you think? Does it make sense? It is way cool that for sure.

I am not sure the binary based system makes it simpler (the decimal representation presumably requires less punches per seedword/number) however e.g. 404(10) = 001 1001 0100(2) so w decimal in the 12Z you punch 4 turn the plate slightly and punch 0, turn it slightly and punch the second 4, done. Three points in the steel. With binary you keep the codeplate in one fixed position and punch in at position 3,5,8 and 9 in line. So four punches to save the same data/number for the seed in the specific position. 2048 is still four punches in decimal, eleven ”1’s” in the case with binary, that is a lot of punching going on there :-) Makes sense?

So binary because it is base, super cool, digital and we do talk about money and value in and for cyberspace and zodiacs do reference real space as star constellations, so why not connect the two in a steel plate with a secret code that unlocks such value that can travel across both time and space at the speed of light…

One user said: “Imagine your mind holds a secret code, like a map to hidden treasures in the sky. Each piece of this code is linked to one of the twelve famous zodiac signs, forming a celestial puzzle. Seedsafe is your compass that helps you navigate the infinite universe star by star in a full circle. This device acts as a physical vault, safeguarding a copy of your unique cosmic code. At the heart of this adventure is you, standing at the crossroads of the infinite and the tangible, with your seedsafe ensuring your star-mapped secrets remain safe and sound.”

A spent SAT is a like drop in the ocean, literally. You can never pick that same drop back up. There is no such thing as an old SAT.

Every time there is a point following Bitcoin. That point is very important. The point marks the end of the sentence. Makes it final. Conclusive. Final. Pay attention to that point. That is the whole point. Study Bitcoin.

Energy is the currency of the universe. Who said that?

Bitcoin is a monetary fuel cell storing your proof-of-work, your life energy.

Study Bitcoin.

I am thinking we should all take a moment to reminisce, recall, recollect, remember and look back to the time just before the discovery of Bitcoin, when there were no criminals.

Or. Study Bitcoin.

With Bitcoin it’s not about weather you’ve suddenly gone crazy paying attention to this “new” hip thing (Bitcoin, not Crypto)

As it turns out it is more about if you are crazy _enough_ to follow through.

You will need some serious grit and summon the energy needed spending hundreds of hours of your own time relentlessly working to grasp enough of what the many aspects of this wierd life altering Bitcoin thing does to humans and money.

It is true that where the mind goes energy flows and considering Bitcoin is essentially backed by energy, there you go. Energy is the currency of the universe.

Resisting your newfound erge to study Bitcoin would be like looking for darkness with a torch.

Once a truly novel concept like this breaks all the way through the barrier of resistence in your mind, it is almost impossible to unthink it. You can no longer go back.

Embrace it.

Finally back to normal, if there even is such a thing. The last couple of weeks were a whirlwind, as is to be expected if a lot of bitcoiners are at the same place at the same time.

Bitcoin Atlantis was a fantastic event, as many others have mentioned before me. It was so good to see everyone. New friends, old friends, brothers and sisters, even classmates and family. Yes, family.

To me, the gathering that happened on this strange island in the middle of the Atlantic felt more like an extended family gathering than a conference, which is what made it so beautiful. Exhausting? Yes. Strange? Definitely. But also full of love, tears of joy, and a deep sense of "togetherness" that only families can provide. Strange uncles and all.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: cherish these times. We're still in the early days, and as bitcoin marches on and grows, and as bitcoinization proceeds, what is strange and extraordinary now will soon be normal and ordinary.

The internet is magic, as are mobile phones. Yet we don't have any "internet people" anymore, not in the "bitcoiner" sense, to bridge the analogy. In certain places and for certain people bitcoin is already normalized, and what used to be mind-blowing just 12 months ago simply isn't anymore. We get used to things too quickly, even magic. We adjust, we get bored, and we fail to appreciate how far we have come.

I'm writing this as a sip my morning coffee, a coffee that I will pay in sats outright, with zaps I've received on nostr. Isn't that magical? Yet it's very normal to me. I have to pinch myself every day to make sure it is real.

It's hard to comprehend how much sweat, blood, tears, and pain were necessary to make all of this work. Bitcoin. Lightning. Nostr. The myriad of tools, libraries, capital, and infrastructure required so that you can zap me and I can pay for this coffee. Instantly. Global. Without anyone's permission. We say that Bitcoin is magic internet money for a reason, so please take a step back and appreciate the magic. Appreciate how far we've come.

It's easy to get lost in the thick of it all when you're close to the grindstone. I know there's people out there that question themselves, wondering why they keep working on all this stuff, asking themselves if they make a difference. I know because I'm one of these people sometimes. I know because some of my friends are struggling, and have been struggling for a while. I see you, and if I could I'd give you a hug twice a day.

But most days we're not in the same place at the same time, so let me say the following instead: You matter. Your contributions matter. You just being around matters.

That's why physical events are so important. It's borderline impossible to feel stuff through a computer screen. But once you meet people in person—your people, the people that, for one reason or another, are perfectly aligned with you—you can FEEL it. You can really feel it. You can feel that it matters, that the tide is shifting, that the freedom tech we are working on changes the very real lives of very real people.

It was wonderful to meet all of you. Peace & Love, and please take care of each other. 🙏🧡

Have another ☕️ gigi!

With Bitcoin, where ever you go, there you are.
