CoinShares revealed a market buying opportunity amounting to $398 million in inflows for Bitcoin in the last week.
The July 8 report also highlighted an inflow into Bitcoin (BTC) amounting to $398 million. According to CoinShares, the weakness of Bitcoin prices, alongside activity from Mt. Gox and selling pressure from the German government, were the likely causes of investors’ buying sprees.
Mt. Gox’s creditors have seen the value of their BTC increase by over 8,500% since the exchange’s demise.👍🏿🤩😎
Inflows were primarily seen in the United States with $384 million, followed by Hong Kong ($32 million), Switzerland ($24 million) and Canada ($12 million), whereas Germany saw $23 million in outflows.

Redditors Fed Up With ‘BS’ Surcharges Call Out More Than 200 La Restaurants For Extra Fees
Users on Reddit are fed up with surreptitious surcharges at restaurants — and have begun crowdsourcing a list of Los Angeles eateries that tack on additional fees.
So many responses poured in that the list was compiled into a public Google spreadsheet that has nearly 250 entries in a subreddit called r/LosAngeles.
In Pasadena, Agnes Restaurant & Eatery adds a “4% Healthy LA” fee to all dine-in checks to help pay for workers’ health and wellness benefits.
The Redditors’ spreadsheet even includes a photo of a receipt from the restaurant, which notes that the 4% surcharge “is not gratuity” and can be removed upon request.
The spreadsheet notes other restaurants’ reasons for their respective surcharges, which range from add-ons to subsidize employees’ healthcare benefits to a “kitchen appreciation fee.”
Another photo of a receipt from The Albright, a seafood spot on the Santa Monica pier, shows that an obscure 10% fee was added to the Redditer’s check, though there’s no reasoning behind it.

In a letter published Wednesday, US Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon asked the Justice Department to allow the technology companies to discuss the practice publicly. The Democrat said the companies previously told him that the “practice is restricted from public release by the government.”
After the publication of the letter, Apple confirmed it does receive such requests from foreign governments. The US federal government “prohibited us from sharing any information,” the company said. “Now that this method has become public, we are updating our transparency reporting to detail these kinds of requests.”

Some bread companies have worked in the past decade to remove chemical additives from their formulations as consumers demanded cleaner labels and simpler ingredients. In 2014, Flowers Foods said it had scrapped azodicarbonamide from its Nature’s Own baked goods the year prior.
