Since June 2023. I love it. I use it almost every day.
I mentioned different “communities, artists, activists and journalists.”
Appeal to them.
That’s what brought me over. I brought people over.
I wasn’t into bitcoin much previously. I came because of the fact that I see it as a human rights tool.
I’m saying this to everyone on nostr with love, I wish that you could hear my tone.
Folks in general won’t care about the tech. It is incredible and most people won’t care in the slightest.
Folks in general won’t care about coming to Nostr because of Bitcoin too much but they will use zaps when they arrive.
Folks in general don’t particularly care about their own freedoms. They will beg corporate tech providers for digital ID for convenience just for the illusion of safety. They don’t particularly care about free speech either, they say that they care but they don’t. They don’t particularly care about privacy or the NSA/CIA/FBI being all up inside our tech providers. They don’t actually care. They just want to feel safe.
If folks come to Nostr it will be because they either seek out a specific community and or probably because it will have an edgy underground sex appeal that will bring artists, activists and journalists (not the corny kind but the edgy kind. The ones who actually move culture and shift the vibe.) In general people are followers. If they come it’s because they will want to feel hip (it’s gross but true.)
The good news about all of that is that the masses are rather insufferable mushed together screaming at one another. Corporate tech has a lot of problems Nostr gets to avoid right now by being smaller. On top of all of it remaining slightly smaller for now while corporate tech is being pummeled by legislation globally isn’t a bad thing.
Posting about bitcoin won’t bring the people. Being better tech won’t bring the people. Freedom won’t bring the people. It will probably be a popular makeup artist that likes zaps or something that brings the people. nostr:note1yt7fspdv3rt3jlk4h420vxk4stah5tkwx6zdlc44uk4fhwfcg8js7g9j2p

Detoxing my mind from the algorithm has been extremely beneficial.
I was sick and I didn’t even know it.
In general, a vast amount of people will prefer the illusion of safety that has been sold to them over freedom. The corporate tech/state controlled tech will have an incredible sales pitch. I’ve come to peace with the fact that many simply don’t care about freedom. I have no interest in selling freedom.
I have a high amount of interest in options and resistance tech solutions.
That’s real freedom. You have your options and I have mine. Neither are forced or coerced.
Those who want to find Nostr will. It will sell itself.
Corporate tech providers being forced to comply with government overreach will be the best marketing for Nostr.

Don’t let the gloomy weather, dirty deck and pathetic looking cup of coffee fool you. The air is still and warm, the music is good and the coffee is outstanding. The deck is dirty tho. #coffechain 
And I don’t particularly miss X. I didn’t really feel a need to give it a try yet. Perhaps in a year or something.
The only thing that I miss about Twitter are really old Kanye West tweets.
