Mine didn't work out of the box. Flashing new firmware using the UI wasn't entirely stable. I think the UI required the firmware update in two parts (main+web assets, I think)
Finally had to use wantclue's flasher which you will need a chome based browser to update. This firmware updates both parts that you would have had to do in the UI update process. I found it cleaner and it worked right away after setting up the settings. https://github.com/WantClue/bitaxe-web-flasher

I started with 2. One for pool, one for solo, but I saw the sats from the pool was small so went all in on solo. But now I got an itch for more... Gamma and Hex will be fun

The problem is other people who are using these AI enabled devices. It's unlikely I can be that persuasive to be able to get them off those devices especially when they've spent their own money on them. It is already hard enough to get people to switch to more secure or private messaging systems and the cost to switch is zero.
We are about to lose a lot of privacy because of AI enabled devices that include NPUs. These devices will become commonplace soon and all of our messaging apps with encryption will be defeated because essentially the AI will have complete access to all messages and content pre-encryption. No need to bother with cracking it, and only one person using this tech will compromise the rest.
What do we have to protect ourselves? Hang on to old hardware pre-NPU? We will not be able to safeguard against who we are talking with if they have an NPU equipped device. We cannot be sure that even if it is disabled that it is still not working in the background or will not be re-enabled after an update or dark pattern.

Apparently too many maxis went after him for shitcoinery cause he dared venture outside of bitcoin. I don't blame him, rather do what I found interesting than have to explain my position every time someone disagreed with it. Now we all have to deal with less of his contributions which was more than what a lot of the people who were critical of him offerred.
