I'm not a fan either and even hesitated to post because of it... solid information though π€·ββοΈ
So far this visual explanation has been the most useful for me, but I'm actively looking for more

How about you? I don't see one in your bio yet?
Welcome to the π party, happy you came over! It's beautiful round these parts
One of the things that made me understand bitcoin-not-shitcoins more deeply was learning about the potential tradeoffs every other blockchain had to make to "compete".
What are some of the tradeoffs around the Nostr protocol you think would be helpful for those of us wanting to understand it more fully?
Probably the paid server: nostr.milou.lol
And you can expect me to fight against it with aggressive optimism πͺβ€οΈ
This is a really good idea, I'm thinking about running my own just to ensure that I always have my entire history, no matter where I go or how the platform evolves
That's alright, I got the (fantastic) sentiment. Do you have any books or resources for exploring dharma that have helped in your personal journey?
It's freaking glorious πβ‘οΈπ§‘πππ«
Nostr and Bitcoin have made me believe there is a relationship between freedom and kindness.
On Nostr I haven't experienced the constant fear and negativity that is continually incentivized other places on the internet. Even in myself I've noticed the urge to spread more kindness and love as this community grows its wings. I think this is directly because, the part of myself that I give to this platform, gives to each and every one of you across the network. In the same way that Bitcoin can lift up everyone across the world, this decentralized and free communication protocol has the same potential.
Turning off all notifications for me is a must for any bouts of deep work. Whether it's writing code or writing fiction, each I do more successfully with completely shutting off distractions and allowing my consciousness to fully wrap around the problem.
The amount of value I've been able to pass out to random users has been incredible. Really revolutionizes the phrase value-for-value πβ‘οΈ
I love this perspective! If you do what everyone else does, you'll BE what everyone else is.
The majority of the population is overweight, sick, and depressed. I'm not willing to take on that burden just to fit in with others. I'd rather pursue truth, health, and freedom.Β π§‘π₯©πΊπΈ
Love it. Thanks so much for sharing! Do you have any advice on where to start with "just look life straight on"?
Something that's been on my mind a lot lately that I figured I would share with my fellow Nostriches.
I think that success in improving your health has less to do with the peaks, and more about how you act in the valleys. It's really easy to be excited and motivated for a short period of time, but what I think really defines one's ability to make lasting change is how rapidly you can pick yourself up after falling down.
Every single one of us is going to have a day where something doesn't go to plan. I think it's important to see yourself honestly in those moments, be gentle with yourself, but get back on track as quickly as possible. In my own experience with weight loss, I used to have binge weeks where I would gorge myself for weeks on end (I wasn't doing #carnivore back then), today I still have slip ups, but they are never as severe as they used to be.
I think that the keeping the failure cycle short is one of the most critical elements of finding success in this domain. It's not how you act when things are all happy and fun, but how you act in the dark and lonely moments that define success. Or to use a #bitcoin analogy, money is made in bear markets.

Hello fellow π€
Welcome aboard! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have so far π
You don't, that's not the way this protocol is architected. Once you send a note it can potentially live on multiple different relays indefinitely.
No editing. No deletion.
But a brilliant way to decentralize a system π
