The major issues were with the “platforms”, youtube especially. Youtube seemed to be, imo, seriously shadow-banning people, and I know I was one of them. I commented on this on Nostr before, dyor.

I suspect these issues will continue going into 2024.

Youtube is a zombie platform. It needs to be abandoned by all of us, and as of tonight, I’m going that route.

I somehow got censored during the stream, no idea why, I’m not edgy, doesn’t matter….youtube definitively rejected me. And I didn’t even know it happened, because I was “shadow banned”, so I saw all my comments, but NOBODY else saw them. I had to figure it out by asking questions that no-one ever answered. It was humiliating.

So I’m done with youtube. Fucking done. I want nothing to do with it.

Any of my 170+ subs will be unsubscribed.

I fucking hate this…but its been a short time coming, and it needs to happen.

I won’t follow Bitcoiners on Youtube from now on.

I was on BTCSessions Christmas livestream tonight on Youtube, and about 1/3 of the way through it became apparent that I’d been “shadowbanned” or “timed out” or something.

I tested this in multiple ways, and it was apparent. They didn’t appear on livestream relay, I’d ask people to respond if they could see them, to no avail.

It’s the first time I’ve experienced this, where it seems to me I’m responding normally, but I’ve become personae non grata to the chat-world.

I don’t type stuff that get’s me “banned” cuz I’m not that edge-y.

I eventually had to go to Twitter to watch the stream, but without much active chat participation, I gave up.

So then I literally rebooted my iOS system to see if I could participate in chat on Youtube (the only major channel offered) and couldn’t. I also rebooted my VPN. No luck. I could see my “chats” but no one else could see them or respond to them. Somehow I’ve been shadowbanned on Youtube, based on my username, for no reason any normal person would understand.

I’ll also note that there were fewer than 300 viewers on Ben’s Holiday Special on Youtube by the highlight hours of the show. Which seems odd for a channel running an amazing special holiday thing on Friday before a big 3 day weekend,& that’d been running live for 4 + hours.

I think Ben’s channel has been targeted. If not, I’ve been targeted, 100%.

I’m done with Youtube. Nevermore.

So sats being zapped to me are not coming to my node / node-linked Zeus wallet, or to my Blue Wallet that I send zaps from all the time?

It’s something to do with the Apple censure, after which I spent a few hours finding a workaround that I barely remember now.

Is that workaround getting all my zaps?

I mean, I’m admittedly dumb as a lamp-post, yet I’m running two nodes and an S9 and not losing sats into nowhere.

Evidently after Apple broke Zaps I adopted a workaround that allows me to send zaps, but can’t receive.

I guess I have to PoW harder to figure out how to get a handful of sats.

Yes. I don’t show myself receiving anything on Blue Wallet, which is my linked wallet on Alby.

I sent 10sats back, because again on Alby I can only send a default.
