They are a data company. Sell products dirt cheap to get market share to gather more data on users. names, addresses, mobile activity, gps locations, browser fingerprinting, etc. This helps to then remarket to you and encourage network effect. Along with now having a massive amount of data on US users. Every cheap drone or device they sell has its own app to use with it of questionable security and safty too.
Friendly reminder. TEMU is an information gathering tool supported by the Chinese government. It sells products cheaply to gain market share. They are really a data gathering company. It has been found to contain tools for privilage escalation.

The real killer feature could be using something like petals to train foundational models. OpenAI is estimated to spent $68mil on just the compute time to train GPT4.
