I`m "socializing" with squirrels since about 5 years. The squirrels, who were aware that I gave them nuts, attracted others to me. Many new squirrels were very skinny and had bad fur. They quickly realized that they didn't have to be afraid of me and trusted me - and quickly gained weight and their general condition visibly improved. My increased serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin levels were my reward...
