Why does it seem like artists avoid hanging out with other artists while making things?

Is it a trust issue? Easier to focus?

Studies say 18 minutes a day, for a month, on a skill will make you an expert, but others say you'll never feel like one.

Maybe just focus on the skill itself instead of the ego
