Wish I could, it will around midnight here. 🤣
Daily check in #nostr.
Today, I, somehow, rekindled the fighting spirit in me. Upwards and onwards.
Fantastic! I want to read the trilogy again. I wish I had more time.
That's a badge of honor if any! Congrats. I wish I could say the same.
When do I get access?
Hey #nostr. I have a confession. I never liked Human Resources. They are, mostly, insidious. They give you with one hand, and with other they keep a dagger behind their backs.
They try to make you feel wanted in the company, and try to make things as comfortable as possible. But they become your worst enemy whenever things go slightly of rail. They tell you that they're on your team, and that they care for your comfort, but they're the first line of attack when unleashed by the company. Their only job is to make sure everyone complies and conforms with the company.
Never trust any "whistleblower" program or any promise of secrecy they give you. They are the rats within the employee ranks.
Anyway, GM
I think, like bitcoin's asymptotic march towards 21m, it will never fully monetize, but asymptotically grow over time toward full monetization as long as it's secure and decentralized.
I wonder if the concept of #nostr can be extended to the physical world. I wonder if one day we can decentralize the production of computers and phones, to get rid of Apple, Microsoft, and Google control over operating systems, and to get rid of Intel, AMD, and Nvidia control over our hardware.
I mean, of course it's absolutely more difficult to decentralize hardware than software, but I'm wondering that could pull it to the realm of possibility? We already have Android spinoffs (like GrapheneOS) and Ubuntu Mobile (not sure if it's still a thing). Hardware could be a real challenge, though.
Seeing the war I'm the Arab world is expanding is giving me a huge amount of dread. I've seen this before.
The last decade that the Arab world hasn't seen war with an external force was in the 1900-1910; yes, Israel is an external force planted by Europeans, and they account for half of these decades. Heck, they had a war with at least one Arab country in every decades since 1948 except the 90s, during which the first Palestinian Intifada was hot and running. So even in the 90s they were fighting Arabs. Think about that.
Arabs haven't had their full autonomy since pre-Ottoman era. Think about that.
Why is that, I wonder? Yes, we have ourselves to blame for a lot of it, but every power on earth wants a piece of this land. Whenever they think they got things right, they call it peace. Peace on everyone else's terms. Never ours.
الله المستعان.

Ah.. I misunderstood your reply. Yes.. You're right 😂
Opponents here could be fiat, in case of bitcoin, or other social media platforms, in case of nostr.
I was thinking about this quote from Max Planck the other day..
I wonder if it applies to #Bitcoin or #nostr?
