And apparently it's quite alright? Amazing that he's still making movies

Clueless.
Absolutely stacked year for horror and fantasy movies, with originals like Cuckoo, Oddity, Longlegs, The Devil's Bath, Azrael, Silent Night, Kryptic, Mads, In A Violent Nature, Heretic, The Damn, The Substance, Strange Darling, Blink Twice.
Mainstream entries (Die Alone, Never Let Go) prequels (Apartment 7A, The First Omen), sequels (Terrifier 3, Smile 2) and remakes (Speak No Evil, Salem's Lot).
Fantasy (A Different Man, Else), humor (Frankie Freako, Get Away) and amazing movies from Asia (Dead Talents Society, Exhuma)
Plus big franchise blockbusters
(Alien Romulus, Nosferatu).

We're going to be talking to robots and robots are going to be talking to other robots as well as humans and no one is going to know who is what.
Yeah I thought it was a great way to expand on the most interesting part of Alien (the engineers), giving answers via posing more interesting questions, plus Shaw was a genuinely great character.
It was of course plagued with plenty of mind-numbingly stupid bits in the script that somehow made it into the film, and the saddest part of it all was Scott deciding to backtrack on his original vision for the sequels, apparently because Prometheus didn't poll well with the viewers (nor it made enough money for the studio), that "wanted to see more of the Alien", to the point of repeating the cardinal sin of killing your main character off-screen and/or between movies (Alien³), and switching back to a more straightforward horror for Covenant, with a much more predictable plot and villain in David, far from the science fiction that made Alien great in the first place.
And yeah Romulus is ok, especially as a one off, like a Rogue One. I didn't expect it to be so lore heavy, which was nice.
