At the time this episode came out in 2015, I thought this rant was ramblings of a mad man. So, on a surface, it seemed just a clever metaphor.

But, it was compelling enough to lead me into rabbit halls to figure out that most people do live in an illusion of reality programmed by mass media. Indeed, a Kingdom Of Bullshit.

So, to answer to your question... Yes, the pointer to the Truth can be found in a clever metaphor encoded within a monolog of a character on a popular TV show. But in order to see the Truth, one must seek to find the Truth.
