As an absolute hardware snob I gotta say, I am really digging my Framework 13 a lot more than I thought I would.
Is it high end hardware? No. Is it good hardware? I would argue yes.

Abuse the MDB_APPEND flag and you’ll realize how important sorting is with LMDB. It’s crucial.
Because it’s a key/value database, everything must go in a precise place. And when you throw entries at a LMDB that can’t be written sequentially (pre sorted), LMDB is left no choice but to do the sorting work incrementally with each entry assigned.
Yes and presort the entries you’re writing too.
