Uncle Bob, Software Craftsman. http://cleancoder.com http://cleancoders.com

'Tis a fine and cold Saturday morning here in the Northern climbs. A lovely day to review the final manuscript of my latest book, Functional Design, before the due date on Wednesday.

We made it "Up North" and got all settled in. I spent an hour reviewing my book. Now I think I'm going to sit and relax and enjoy the view from my hidey-hole.

I don't know enough about rust to comment on the veracity of that statement -- but it _is_ kinda funny.

>Rust doesn't use a garbage collector because otherwise it would collect the language itself and all its developers.

Good Morning Norstriadors. I've got little time this morning. My wife and I are headed to our Wisconsin hidey-hole for a couple of days to escape the rigors of real-life. I _will_ be working on my book over the weekend so I can deliver it, as promised, this Wednesday. If I get done with that early, I might just work on the purging of old records in more-speech.

>Wow. Uncle Bob as in uncle Bob? You and Martin Fowler played a big role in my career. Thank you.

Good Night Nostrans. I spent the day working on my latest book: Functional Design. Deadline for submission is Wednesday, so I'm going to be heads down on that til then.

Good Morning Nostrabians! I woke up in my own bed this morning after 8 hours of sleep, and I feel quite well. The dogs and I read the news together for the first time over a week, and the daily rituals reasserted themselves as if they'd never stopped.

Today I must prepare for, and then teach, a two hour lesson on the Three Laws of TDD. After that, my wife and I will have lunch with our beautiful #2 grandaughter before she departs the midwest for the climbs of Vail where she will help with the ski industry for a season.

Good Morning Nostraloons. Home safe and sound. The Countess is all packed away in her hangar and my wife and I said hello to our dogs and settled in.

Now that I'm home I can start working more on more-speech (among my many other projects).

So, stay tuned.

Austin to Branson was 3 hours. Branson to my home another 3 hours. Total distance 900 miles. I would have done it all in one day but the weather up north was a bit iffy, and we wanted to get home early today, so we did half the trip yesterday and spent an enjoyable afternoon and evening in Branson Mosourri.

We both wear headsets and can talk with each other quite easily. However, once we are in the air my wife usually studies videos or goes to sleep and puts her noise cancelling airpods into her ears.

>How long do these trips last? Can you talk to each other comfortably while up in the air?

The Countess got us to Branson. Now we're looking at restaurants. A nice evening alone together.

Good Morning Nostrs. My wife and I are piling in to The Countess this morning on our first leg back home. We'll spend the night in Branson, Mo, and then head back to Northern Illinois Tuesday morning once the weather up there clears.

Good Night Nostrekes. I just got back from watching 65. Fun romp. Absurd premise. Worth a dollar or two.

What relays is this conversation taking place on. I'm missing ever other message.

>Yes, but how?

Good Morning Nostrites.

Sunday. A day of rest. Well, with grandchildren.... Ah, but they are a wonderful joy, and I only have a day or two left with them before my wife and I return home.

More examples are: kind:0 metadata fields. relay formats, REQ limits and options, and relay URL formats.

It may be time for us to create a NIP working group whose task it is to evaluate all the NIP PRs, accept or deny them, and communicate to client devs in some more organized fashion.

>Please do not accept invalid events in your client. Do not accept non-integer "created_at" values, do not accept non-string-array on "tags", do not accept bech32-encoded keys as tag values. Every time you do that, Nostr dies a little.

Good Night Nostrigls: A good day today working on Functional Design. Two more days with grandchildren an then it's back into The Countess for the 6 hour flight back home.

Good Morning Riders of the Nostr Sky! I'm the first one away, and the house is silent. Grandchildren will awaken soon enough but for now the house is mine.

Good Night Denizens of the Nostr Deep. I'm slowly meandering towards bed. This may not be my last note of the night; but it's close.

I hope you've been enjoying the saga of @cmuratori and I on github. It's been fun so far.

Grandchildren are a joy...and they can also be a lot of work ;-)
