Here is a demo of how to download and use more-speech. You'll like this!

Well, I think that's all for me for today. I got more-speech all set up to do a "Getting Started" video. You'll see that in the next few days.

Not so far. At the moment I'm just pulling the data, using it to paint a $ next to the relay if it's a paid relay, and presenting some of the info in a Relay Info window upon request.

In the future I'll be using that information much more intelligently to tune my queries according to the relay's limitations.

NIP-11 was easy to get working in more-speech. Now you can click in the 'info' button in the relay manager and see interesting attributes of the relay. You can also tell if the relay is paid by seeing the $ next to the connection symbol.

Illinois is a lovely state with lovely people and lovely villages -- and a crappy and ruinous state government dominated by Chicago liberals.

Yeah... I think I'll work on NIP-11 for a little while. That one looks like fun. It'll also be useful.

GM-PV Nostriches,

I have a free day today, and I have no agenda for more-speech. I do, however, have a rather long to-do list on the more-speech wiki -- so I guess I'll work my way down that list and make some incremental improvements.

I also think I'll put together a little video tutorial for setting up and using more-speech. So keep watch.

Mr nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s , I have a question.

In the future, will you add the ability to show which client a post is from? (For example, like Tweet source labels)

Elon said "〜no one even knows why we did that …" In fact, it may not have been necessary for Twitter. But, I think Nostr needs this feature. Sorry if you already mentioned this. Please let me know the remark link or any other information.

I added a "client" tag to events created by more-speech. I did that for selfish reasons. I wanted to be able to count the number of more-speech users. Other clients have done this too; but I don't see a reason why it should become standard.

Back home now in Icky Illinois. But life is good.

GM-PV Nostrlings,

My lovely wife and I are all packed up and ready to leave our Northwoods Hideaway and return to Icky Illinois. See you in a few hours.

#[1] did you see my DM? No rush.

I've added a tab management menu to more-speech. Now, in each tab, you can see the authors and events that you follow or block; and you can remove examine or remove those items from the tab.

This finshes off the MVP features of more-speech. If you want to give it a try you can download the executable jar file from https://www.dropbox.com/s/cpybfjjnfr548ti/more-speech-0.1.0-SNAPSHOT-standalone.jar?dl=0

I strongly suggest that you also read through the wiki at https://github.com/unclebob/more-speech/wiki

The experience is _very_ different from the mobile apps; and much more amenable to perusing and interacting with a very large number of different notes and authors.

GM_PV Nostrides,

It is Sunday, cloudy, dreary, and rainy. A perfect day to look out of my window and work on more-speech.

Welcome! I'm sure you will enjoy it here. Read what you like. Write what you like.

>Guess I'm on Nostr now as well. #[3] makes a good argument. Looks pretty nice.

Netflix: The Diplomat, is a great show.
