sadly, that all is not the problem it seems.
#[0] ok, found the problem. not any invoice in CLN has a pay_index field. this must be a CLN bug
#[0] digged a little deeper. changed the index to a way lower value than all zaps after that are working. changing it to actual -5 does not work. two possible reasons: 1. problems when the last_pay_index shows to a non zap invoice at start. 2. (and very far fetched) value is read as byte because it is around 127 here which is the tipping point for signed bytes.
subtracted 5 from the index and debug on and I still get nothing. last thing in log is "starting at index....". index file is again updated
we have milli sats called msats and then we will have nano sats called nsats
