Sure. It is inconvenient. But it's better than realizing after 5 months that you are missing half of the conversations just because you are not using the full power of Nostr. The whole point of this stack is to use multiple clients to see things with different eyes. Otherwise we are not that different from Twitter.

Twitter would be king without Elon but that's another story.

It's amazing though that instead of trying to amend the protocol's flaws the usual answer is "it is so by design" and the solution is for example "use many clients". And I say this respectfully and fully acknowledging the huge work you pour in here. You just can't expect the average user to use three clients just to see if someone mentioned him/her.

Don't get stuck with just one Client. There are 100s to try out and they are all different/present you different information.

If you are using just one or two, I can guarantee you are missing stuff.

I get what you are saying but you understand how inconvenient this is, right?

I don't mean for specific functions (e.g chat, communities etc) but for basic usage

My feed is starting to look very different depending on the client I am on. And I love it. Let's go!

Some clients only want to support specific event kinds and thus don't show up to 40% of the content others do. While others use different relay sets and smart algos to find replies that are interesting to you and show them in the main feed. Some show everything even if they have not been able to load previews or posts while others hide everything until they download and are able to display all the dependencies at once.

Lots of experiments. But, more importantly, there are many diverse opinions from client authors on what the main feed should have and look like. And that's awsome!

I noticed the same behavior. Shouldn't the following feed be the same in all though? Otherwise since only few people use multiple clients, we are missing notes in our timeline.

Back on iris client on Android after too many connection problems today on snort.

I prefer using snort lately on Android but always get disconnected last days makes me crazy.

What is your preferred client for Android maybe I'll try something new?
