I’ve just come over from Reddit where a sub I used to frequent had a pretty bad day yesterday. The community points that Reddit had rolled out and with which many users were earning money as well as investing money into was abruptly cancelled. A huge sell off resulted and someone posted nostr as a possible alternative to those people affected. Interesting concept - thanks user rayfin on Reddit for introducing it to me

I'd much rather have my money in a distributed database that no one controls vs a centralized database controlled by corrupt politicians!

But I must say, I think quite a few men HERE (on Nostr today) would successfully check off most things on my list of my qualities and values I'd prioritize in a husband. And it's likely that numerous women here match the criteria you (and other men) might look for in a (future) wife, because our collective presence here indicates a shared mindset. As the nostr community grows and diversifies over time, I suspect you'll find that not every woman aligns with your ideal criteria.

Magnetization does play a role, in my opinion. Most of us on Nostr gravitate towards its ethos, establishing a baseline of shared interests and values. And within this vast sea of like-minded individuals, there are subgroups focusing on everything from freedom lovers who spend all day posting flowers to freedom lovers who engage in financial discussions. Case in point: Stella caught my attention and I've been following her since I laid eyes on her profile. Although she obviously wouldn't fit my "husband criteria", she's an interesting and engaging voice here that I enjoy following. And now, here you are with us, resonating with that same energy. ✨

In conclusion, I'm inclined towards your second theory: perhaps we are those old souls who once painted the bar scene with magic and adventure, and have now found our space on Nostr.
