If anyone ever writes free peripheral software for video encoding, obs will be able to support that, although I doubt anyone will bother when CPU encoding works fine.

At least the .doc format has been somewhat successfully reverse-enginerred, meaning pandoc can convert it to something useful.

Personally I just open the document in libreoffice and copy-paste all of the headings into a handcrafted LaTeX document.

Any time you add anything that is not a good password, for example an "TOTP code", you either get no benefit, or *reduced* security.

I would agree that proprietary office applications that qualify as "open source", but aren't free software are trash.
