When I refresh and nothing new shows up I always check if Iām still connected to my relays. Canāt miss that good nostr content.
Neuralink? No thank you.
Nostr beamed straight into my mindās eye? Yes please.
Day 113 of #100pushups until #Bitcoin hits $100k.
34x3 throughout the day + legs at the gym
Iāll admit Iām a little addicted to #nostr. I find myself refreshing the feed several times a minute to see if thereās something new posted.
And remember to spread the message. Onboard friends and family⦠or be so toxic that they have no choice but to become bitcoiners.
Got a small interest free loan from my workplace. Used it to buy #bitcoin.

This is why the #nostrich is the mascot of #nostr.
Itās a nightmare because fiat money is enforced and controlled by the state. Sure, you can do a p2p transaction, but the IRS will audit you. All the commies who claim we are living under āfree market capitalismā, and that itās āfailing usā are delusional.
The claim that #bitcoin has no āintrinsic valueā, besides its scarcity, is senseless. Sure, a bitcoin might not be a physical coin (even though electrons and bits in logic gates on a computer are equally as real as the atoms in a gold bullion), but the service Bitcoin provides is valuable. Itās the only money that is on a decentralized and verifiable open ledger; the only money thatās infinitely divisible; the only money that can be held in oneās head across time and space; the only money thatās non-inflationary (and in some instances deflationary); the only money that is cryptographically secure; the only money that is purposefully engineered to be money; and much more.
āBitcoin doesnāt physically exist, it has no value.ā
If thatās true then no piece of information ever has any value ā thatās a verifiably false assumption (philosophy, language, scienceā¦)

Taken Metcalfeās Law / network growth into account?
Day 112 of #100pushups until #Bitcoin hits $100k.
34x3 throughout the day + back and arms at the gym.
#Bitcoin going up? Did the CEO stack enough sats at low prices?
As long as money is controlled by the government we will never have a free monetary system. All this talk about [lowering or raising] interest rates is to make you forget that government shouldnāt be in control of the economy at all.
āI don't believe we shall ever have good money again before we take the thing out of the hands of government...ā F. A. Hayek
This was #gold, but it failed; the government took it.
This is #bitcoin, and it is winning; the government will never take it.
Dismissing evolution is asinine. As you said, every process, be it human innovation or natural evolution, is about adaptation, trial and error; nothing is stagnant.
Now thereās one thing I disagree with. Evolution and innovation are somewhat fundamentally different. Innovation is a thought out process designed to achieve some desired outcome; evolution does not have any desired outcome (besides survival). There are tons of examples of redundant or inefficient āsolutionsā in evolution, since the evolutionary process is that of random mutations ā if it works it works. In innovation you want to be as efficient and cost effective as possible, evolution does not care (it canāt care, itās just an autonomous process).
TapSigners are awesome. But remember to back them up. I donāt know how long the NFC chips on the cards will last, so itās crucial to safely store the decryption key and the backup file.
Randās magnus opus: anti-government; pro-capitalism, reason, and freedom.
When Iām having a shitty day I occupy my mind with thoughts of my loved ones. I think about how much I want to see them and enjoy life with them again.
A bad day is just a single moment in time, donāt let that destroy everything youāve built.
Day 109 of #100pushups until #Bitcoin hits $100k.
34x3 throughout the day.
Working long hours to capitalize on these cheap sats.
Start using block height to record time?
The cheaper the better. Iām not selling today.
Day 108 of #100pushups until #Bitcoin hits $100k.
34x3 throughout the day.
Looking forward to the day when the sats I have zapped my #nostr friends can buy them something nice.
Of course. Iām all for cryptographically solving the old worldās problems.
Yes, of course. Iām just slow today, sorry.
Make your own keys āHey this is me: *npub*ā
Relays and authority āSure, one identity, one key, one vote. Go aheadā.
Sure, I can see that. But now we are left with another problem: if there is a central authority issuing your keys, how can you be certain that the keys are safe?
Iām not against the idea, but if the āsolutionā requires some form of central authority to verify your identity, then you donāt need to cryptographically sign anything. Show up, prove your identity, put a ballot in a box.
The benefit of cryptographically signing a ballot would probably be a verifiable ledger (which could be verifiable by (nostr?)relays).
I might have misunderstood what you meant by authority. Another solution I just thought of could be that you make your own keys (no central issuer), an authority verifies your identity and logs it. If you show up again to vote with another set of keys the person verifying your identity would stop you. In this scenario the ledger and the keys would not be controlled by an authority. But thereās still some trust involved; you would have to trust that the central authority itself isnāt cheating.
Imagine the Ancient Greeks busting out some moves.
