Thinking about a science fiction novel that would be fun to write.

People are overpaying in every block, not sure why.

Imagine what a group of nuclear armed nations, no longer able to practically engage eachother in kinetic warfare, and therefore highly incentivized to form a single ruling class could do to the global population if they identified the genetic markers that show an individual is more likely to impose physical costs on other organisms (natural, undomesticated sapien) versus the genetic markers that indicate a sapien is more domesticated.

Imagine what they could do with that knowledge plus the capability of a virtually perfected mass surveillance system.

If they wanted to remove the more natural and physically aggressive members of the species from the gene pool, it would be quite trivial to identify these individuals.

If their goal was to genetically enslave the ruled class so they are happy owning nothing, living in pods, and eating bugs in fifteen minute cities. Would it be overly ambitious to attempt to achieve this goal?

Maybe I should try writing this science "fiction" novel...

When modeling physical-power-based resource control protocols of pack animals, a subtle but important control action that normal members of the pack can excercise is assigning value resources.

No one can force you to assign value to a CDC or a hard fork of Bitcoin that has properties which you don't value.

If your local jurisdiction removes easy access to be able to trade a resource that you don't value ($) for a resource you do value (₿) then the undomesticated members of that system have two options. They can acquire the the hardware necessary to compete over ownership of this new valuable resource, or they can move to a friendly jurisdiction.

The domesticated members of that system will likely go right along with owning nothing, living in a pod, and eating the bugs. Lead to the slaughter like beef cattle.

Indeed... if you exploit and abuse your abstract power and control authority over a population, you can expect them to use physical power (in Caesars case a knife in back) to dismantle, decentralize, and physically constrain the abstract power hierarchy.
