Who of my mutuals on here is gonna be there?
Right now the experience using Nostr on the web is really nice bc you can keep your keys on a browser extension (Kollider Wallet, Alby, etc) and easily switch between clients.
What will be the equivalent for mobile? Or will each client just require a manual import of your key?
Highly recommend joining a few paid relays for the optimal experience.
Welcome brother!
Having a Lightning web wallet that *also* holds your Nostr keys is such a killer setup.
Lightning Login, Lightning Address, Nostr Login, Nostr verification, zaps, and payments. All in one place.
Makes using Nostr and Lightning apps such a joy.
Yeah I agree.
This quote from one of the articles is interesting:
"(Side note: Interestingly, teen loneliness briefly went way down from about 1996 to about 2006. Thatβs consistent with the idea that the old computer-based internet was a complement to in-person interaction β a place you could build an alternative social circle β instead of a substitute for it. Like I always say, the internet used to be an escape from the real world; now, the real world is an escape from the internet.)"
Maybe this is a long-shot, but maybe not.
Lots of evidence recently about social media and its negative effects on mental health, especially that of teens.
It's pretty compelling stuff.
Does Nostr offer an opportunity to fundamentally change social media for the better?
I'm honestly not sure, but if we can do it we should try.
