I'm looking forward to having a long weekend. We haven't planned anything yet except "being outside".

I think I watched too many #mtb videos on YouTube - I'm very keen on finding some nice tracks around. We have a lot of forest roads which are usually very well maintained and aren't very difficult to ride. Most of the hiking trails are just too steep or rough to ride them with the bike (for me!).
Maybe I have to scout older, abandoned forest roads. 🤔
In September 2022, a hike in Austria's Rofan Mountain range unfolded unexpectedly. Disregarding altitude's effect on weather, we faced rain and plummeting temperatures. Underequipped, we pressed on to the summit, capturing nature's beauty amid adversity. This experience underscored the importance of preparedness and respecting nature's capriciousness.

One thing I wonder: I think fedilab is the only app where I hit an upload button and I have to choose what type of media I want to upload. In all other apps, this is done transparent for the user. What's the reason for this?
