Segwit was a mistake (according to you)without it lightning would not be possible. Well after 8 years we still stuck here and you want to go back to 300kb block size. Make things make sense Luke we should have listened to Paul and activated Bip300 we would have scalability, privacy and self custody.
Look around most of us are using custodial wallets for lightning on nostr and it is stuck for years the maximum capacity toped at 5k.
You should make nip17 the standard before sending a message 😉

Bitcoin was never fungible but it could be if privacy was added, Hal knew that after one week of "running bicoin" that solution is sidechains not the blockstream one but the bip 300 we could lock utxos on many sidechains for different purposes. But again still a "store of value" not means of exchange on the first layer although it's better to move things on a privacy sidechain.
Meanwhile we have something fungible that can be used now as means of exchange.
This next upgrade would be awesome if it came with the garnet monero additions there's a bounty for that I know it's not much but it's an honest bounty 😅
Still the point of 1 Bitcoin is not equal to 1 Bitcoin. Ecash doesn't fix it, ecash doesn't fix self custody or scalability too. It only adds privacy over lightning and add a risk of fractional reserve on top of that.
Lightning itself have lot's of problems it's being stuck on 5k Bitcoin capacity for years and in fact it dropped to 1k Bitcoin lately.
So for agonist communities to thrive we need something that can actually be used not a store of value NTF we can keep all Bitcoin on vold storage forever just use Monero.
