Well, maybe. But until you live in a REAL "pais bananero" you don't know the profound meaning of the expression
I first discovered Nostr back in Feb 14 of this year.
The very obvious use case I saw was "a decentralized Twitter".
But then it got more interesting.
The second use case I found was "owning your follower list".
In today's social media world, what you actually own is your email list.
Forget about your large social media following: you don't own it, you don't control it, it's not yours.
On Nostr you own your follower list.
It's still early, but content creators are coming to Nostr.
Besides owning their followers list, they'll monetize every single note they publish.
Zaps are a great extra revenue source for content creators.
My two sats.
“Bitcoin is really a fascinating example of how human beings create value, and is not always rational, it is not a rational currency in that case.” – Alan Greenspan
Priceless, like Mastercard.
Oh, wait, like zaps :)
PS. Elon is working undercover for @jack
Nostr wins

“Bitcoin is amazingly transformative because it’s the first time in the entire history of the world in which anybody can now send or receive any amount of money, with anyone else, anywhere on the planet, without having to ask permission from any bank or government.” – Roger Ver
morning nostrians!
Quick question: If I want to get the list of relays a certain Nostr account is publishing to, how can i do that programmatically? thx

“The bitcoin world is this new ecosystem where it doesn’t cost that much to start a new bitcoin company, it doesn’t cost much to start owning bitcoin either, and it is a much more efficient way of moving money around the world.” – Tim Draper.
“Bitcoin, and the ideas behind it, will be a disrupter to the traditional notions of currency. In the end, currency will be better for it.” – Edmund C. Moy.
me too 🙋♂️
“Hey, obviously this is a very interesting time to be in Bitcoin right now, but if you guys want to argue over whether this is reality or not, one Bitcoin will feed over 40 homeless people in Pensacola right now. If you guys want proof Bitcoin is real, send them to me, I’ll cash them out and feed homeless people.” – Jason King.
interesting, i wasn't aware of that. Do you know if people are using it? It's optional or already preconfigured to a certain amount/%?
yeah, it does sound low... as of today. But at least is better than nothing! :) It's just an idea.
Also, don't miss @pablof7z 's Microapps talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFf3O8HF5_I&t=1363s
Yeah, me too. The talks are really good to pass up! The Relay Implementation panel is priceless. Also, @derekross talk was envigorating for me
pufff, contagious as hell! Go @derekross go! P.S. I keep clearing my throat, like that'd help him :)
“Bitcoin enables certain uses that are very unique. I think it offers possibilities that no other currency allows. For example, the ability to spend a coin that only occurs when two separate parties agree to spend the coin; with a third party that couldn’t run away with the coin itself.” – Pieter Wuille.
