Using garlic cloves is OK with pizza but not on bread. You want the crust to be crunchy but the inside to be moist.
When I make garlic bread I just just melt butter and garlic powder and apply it before and after baking. Its probably the lazy way to do it.

I am of the opinion you can't do that. And you shouldn't. Beauty standards are not generated by media or the patriarchy. They are sometime abused and exploited by those things, yes. But you can't just change the standard to fix that problem.
