I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried something like this but the only way for it to work long term would be for them to have a majority of global trading volume, a majority of nodes, and a majority of miners all on their side.
I don’t think they have anywhere close to that nor do I think they will be able to amass it even with all of the wealth they manage. It flys in the face of why bitcoin has any value in the first place so ultimately I think it will fail and the people that buy into their scams will get hurt in the process 🤷♂️.
Idk maybe I’m naïve but I just don’t think it’s a big concern tbh
Failing to see why a bill is relevant here.
There isn’t even a majority of bitcoin trading volume in the US.
I have no doubt they may try to fork it some day but most of them don’t even understand how it works yet. I don’t have much faith that they would be able to pull off anything close to a successful fork.
They are much more likely to try and attack it with the legal system if they do attack it and that won’t work because of jurisdictional arbitrage.
When companies make less money, they try to spend less money. Sometimes this leads to layoffs 🤷♂️. People may not like it but it’s reality.
Don’t let saylor get all the bitcoin Anon. Buy some yourself in case it catches on
I love the process of getting up every morning and getting out on the water for an hour or two (I’m a rower).
That training is hard work but it never feels like work to me mentally which is why I’m able to do it every day.
I think way too many people pursue an X or Y without knowning, “why” which leads to them burning out and not building lifelong habits.
Gone are the days of buying a game at GameStop for 5$ in cash and no other questions asked lol
True, which is why they can regenerate limbs
Might wanna get some in case it catches on #bitcoin
You also have to factor in the reality of maintaining bitcoin ATMs has real world cost that will always be added into what they charge you.
Even if you assume no regulatory burden it would still be more costly to get btc from a bitcoin ATM than other methods
Failing to see why a senator is relevant here… bitcoin still works just fine regardless of what some bureaucrat says or does… the last fork resolved itself, the people wanting change with all the money and power lost.
Sure there will always be attacks but it’s a bit nihilistic to just assume the US government will kill bitcoin. At that point you might as well go stand in a line with the world coin people and wait for your eye scan lol.
