Reduce network usage. Instead of downloading the same duplicated info from 20 relays, we can download it from the fastest relays first and ask the others to send everything that is not included in the Merkle tree.

I don’t know how someone can be hardcore Bitcoin and NOT hardcore Nostr. It almost makes me question their core values and whether they’re in this space for sincere reasons (beyond NGU reasons). But I know we are very early with Nostr and maybe it’s just me. Anyone else feeling the same way lately?

Because Nostr is going to take a long time to develop and build out protocol consideration for different things. Not everything with potential is going to grab everyone's constant attention early on. Attention is a precious thing.

That would need a very thought through scheme for forward secrecy for messages and an airtight scheme for never using a Nostr identity key twice. Otherwise youre going to likely wind up creating a lot of useful metadata for regimes.
