We have the illusion of free will, as humans. We can always choose a third option that we didn't know existed... In that case, we might actually have to conjure the third option from our imagination. However, sometimes things are just going to happen anyway. Some people attribute seemingly inevitable events to divine intervention or karma.
I'd agree and disagree simultaneously.
If you drop a bowling ball off of the top of the empire state building, it will fall to the ground and not only suffer damage but cause damage to whatever force stops it from falling.
Hard to say. Some things are just inevitable.
Nothing is set in stone... And if it is, you can just sand blast that right off.
I think people used to mistake that for destiny.
Do you think that there are any actions or decisions that are completely free from outside influence?
Everything done is, in some form, and expression of self - be it forced, manipulated, coerced, or influenced in some way, it is still an expression of self. Most things (if not everything) people do, even if they think it's of their own accord and free will, is influenced by outside forces.
Define free time.
Also... Define art.
No one said it wasn't anticipated at some point*
Pick another question.
Well i started a fight club... But that became even more destructive than it sounds.
Some people might consider that an insult.
Once people find out that you've had just a little bit of trauma they want you to go talk about it with someone who's never been in the situation.
Them too.
Therapists have a set of guidelines and talking points... Once you study it, you can literally give them the advice before they give it to you and explain why it's not helpful and suggest they pick a different profession.
Scares some people
At that time... Everyone who ever had a gun to my head never pulled the trigger... The one person that did had the gun jam. Run out in front of traffic, no hits. Everytime I was strangled... I lived. Every time I got in a car while someone was under the influence and driving as if they were actively trying to get into an accident... Nothing. Every time I was cut and burned... Didn't bleed out. Every time I was fed a ridiculous amount of drugs, there was an overdose but no death or stomach pumping... Doing stupid stunts in high places with no safety net, didn't fall. The list goes on. It's pretty dark.
Talking shit and starting fights with a group of men who were physically fit that wanted to beat my ass... Changed their minds.
Tell that to my teenage self. She'd laugh at you.
