The Dragon is an open-source Bitcoin mining hardware design that utilizes the BM1370 mining chips, renowned for their exceptional performance and efficiency. At the time of writing, it stands among the most advanced Bitcoin mining chips available. The Dragon is equipped with SPI touchscreen for intuitive control, a microSD card slot for expanded system storage, real-time audio alerts through integrated alarm hardware and firmware. Without any delay, let's dive in! Keep in mind that for benchmarking purposes, we are using basic heatsink and cooling systems to later compare them against our custom thermal management solutions, such as the ThermoColumn AirMatrix.
The Dragon is equipped with SPI display capabilities, touchscreen functionality, a microSD card slot and an audio alarm buzzer. These features greatly enhance the capabilities of open-source Bitcoin mining hardware and can be seamlessly integrated into other open-source designs, such as the Bitaxe. The reconfigured hardware is also showing significant potential in efficiency, an area we will certainly continue exploring as we scale to larger designs. Currently, the Dragon is undergoing revisions, with many important enhancements already in the development pipeline.

You often see the same people at these conferences shamelessly saying and building the same things, just phrasing it differently. It makes Bitcoin conferences feel more like propaganda machines and less like gatherings of innovative thinkers.
Such a great read! Very few truly understand the struggle like you do. Omega stack developers represent the next evolution, masters of hardware, firmware, software, and mechanical engineering, driving innovation at an unprecedented pace. Unburdened by the weight of massive teams and bureaucratic hurdles, they operate with agility, transforming ideas into prototypes and shipped products at lightning speed. Even multi-million dollar corporations struggle to keep pace with a handful of Omega devs.
It’s silly to try to force people to choose specific Bitcoin slang terms as absolute. If people want to call them sats, BTC, or bits , whatever. Bitcoin is permissionless technology, yet there’s an authoritarian and toxic element growing within the Bitcoin scene, which is sad to see.
