I've started learning about Mutiny, but it's non custodial? And as mentioned here no LN address? I'd like to get to non custodial, but my first test here was what's the easiest custodial solution where I can receive and send zaps from the same wallet.

Loved using WoS for friends and family for easy onboard, sad they took away lightning for US

I filled in my info and got an email, expecting the activation code, but instead got a "we're sorry, we were not able to activate you based on the information you provided"

New Nostr user update: quite frustrated with zaps onboarding.

Primal wallet rejected me.

Setup Alby and can receive zaps just fine.

Problem is sending zaps.

Using NWC with Alby seemed smooth in the setup but always get the "configure funding" error.

At one point I was able to import my Alby wallet to blue wallet and send zaps from there but now get the same error.

Have been in contact with Alby support but they have moved it up to someone else and haven't heard of a solution.

My objective was simple: onboard to Nostr with the simplest, even custodial, solution to stay receiving and sending zaps.

Any other things I can do? This first experience has left me pretty frustrated with Nostr zaps, which was the whole appeal.

Wow! New nostr user here and Amethyst has definitely become my daily driver and is cementing that position more and more every day!

LinkedIn is super cringe...filled with corporate announcements and platitudes..."so excited to announce...." Is always the lamest stuff on LinkedIn

Wait what?! I didn't even know there was a plugin! I'm still a fairly new Obsidian convert and am in love with it, and now I'm an even newer Nostr user.....both of these combined always made sense. Obsidian is just notes...Nostr is just notes....I can't wait to explore this!

Overall though I should add I am learning a lot and the community here is amazing!

Update from new Nostr user onboard:

Object was to first do as easy of an onboard as possible (custodial), and try to do mobile only.

1. Primal is great, best feature is to suggest follows. But the wallet activation failed for me.

2. Alby was slick, even setup to receive sats and got some in first week!

The problem came when trying to zap and SEND Sats, kept getting an error.

3. Finally got my LNDHub data into Blue Wallet and can now send!

For some reason the nostr web clients still stink for me trying to login with the Alby extension they just hang or crash (on Firefox)

I'm having problem sending from Alby as well! Brand new user last week so it's never worked for me. Do you get the "configure your funding source" error as well? It's not just zaps I cant do a regular send from Alby wallet either

Yes, have a little over 800 sats. Not trying to use non custodial. Brand new Nostr user so I wanted to keep it as simple as possible and just start with Alby

Anyone know how to zap from Alby?

I am using #Amethyst and have Alby setup and can receive zaps. When I try to connect my Alby, the setup seems seamless and a breeze where the address, relay, and secret key all import, but when I hit zap it looks like it goes and then returns an error.
