I found it very easy to introduce people to #Bitcoin in #Kenya.
It could also work in East Africa, and possibly with #giraffes (see video) 🦒 🦒
Here's how it works:
1) pay the business or uber or whatever via mobile money called Mpesa.
Mpesa is EVERYWHERE in Kenya.
You do this using in bitcoi nostr:npub1tand04svfdhrt7lhg6687fh0y2xvxfpr9nkkj27rqfrxfpeklldsp48sax but be explicit.
Tell them you are using Bitcoin.
2) The business realises, "oh interesting, Bitcoin has value! It's money!"
3) Ask to tip them. Do it in Bitcoin.
They don't think bitcoin is a scam anymore *GREAT SUCCESS* because you just paid them in btc.
I found that 10 times out of 10 they say yes to the bitcoin tip.
4) Ask them to download nostr:npub13ljnkd633c7maxatymv3y2fqq8vt3qk7j3tt0vytv90eztwgha9qmfcfhw.
It's the best wallet for total beginners.
It's custodial, duuuh, but it has a section called "earn" in which people learn about bitcoin. Small steps.
5) Tip them in Bitcoin to their Blink wallet.
Use something with a fun graphic like the CoinCorner wallet if you are filming (lol)
Or use a noncustodial wallet like BitKit if you want to explain custody vs. non custody.
6) Get them to download Tando.
Show that they can send money from bitcoin to fiat via Mpesa using their Blink and Tando wallets
Sounds confusing?
Yeah it kinda does when I write it down like that.
But i did this loads and it had a great strike rate.
Here's an example. *Youtube link below*

Amazing work you are doing, man! 👊
In a long conversation with a friend this past weekend, I told him, "The price of Bitcoin in fiat currency means nothing to me, other than how low can I exchange my worthless € for it! I don't care how much it appears on the screen, because those numbers are not the real value of Bitcoin! Bitcoin is valued, to me, as bits of freedom. The more bits I get, the freer I become! And I can assure you that I will not go down in history as a slave or a coward!"
He looked at me and said, "I should study that Bitcoin thing, shouldn't I?"
"Yes, you should!" I replied!
Gm, my people! ☕
For a moment I was not myself! 😂
Because I've just change the profile name back and uploaded again the avatar on Amethyst... I'm hurt! 🤕
I had to switch clients and get it right!
Can anyone explain to me why is my profile like a mess? I didn't change a thing on the settings! The name on the profile has suddenly changed and the avatar photo is gone!

My favorite page on the StLouisFed .org (FRED) site:
"Buying eggs with bitcoins."
OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS...
From November 2019 through November 2024, the price of a dozen eggs:
- In US dollars: Increased ⬆️ +159%, from $1.41 to $3.65.

- In #bitcoin: Decreased ⬇️ -52%, from 8,694 sats to 4,170 sats.

Would you prefer:
- Groceries to be 2.5x more expensive for you and your family?
- Or half as much over the past five years?
This is not a trick question.
CONCLUSION: Life gets constantly more expensive the longer you save in dollars (or any government fiat currency), while it generally gets (much) cheaper the longer you save in #bitcoin.
Inflationary fiat currency versus neutral inelastic energy money...
The choice is yours.

I've been keeping an eye on the price of loaf of bread! On Sept, 27 (last) I would have paid 5.100 sats for it. Today, that same loaf of bread would cost me 2.639 sats.
The cat is finally quiet, the man is getting stuff organized for his gig tomorrow and I'm ready to roll part 3 of this endeavour! "Feats don't fail me now"!
