Sometimes i like to experiment with adding different seasonings to my homemade mayo. In this batch i added black pepper and some of my homemade hot pepper powder that i ground up recently. When you make condiments yourself, the possibilities are endless. #MakeYourOwn #homesteading #grownostr #foodstr
Base Recipe Homemade Mayo
(I double this recipe for a quart jar, and use a stick blender)
1 egg
1 cup avocado oil
1 tsp dijon mustard
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp salt
Crack egg into jar.
Add remaining ingredients into jar, adding oil last.

At the usual supermarket, I would have to walk all the way to the back of the space, go through dozens corridors of processed "food" to finally see some real food. The annoyance made me change where I was shopping to a point my food was exclusively bought from local farmers and producers.
