Reading between the lines a bit it seems the new TVR venture is more about obtaining Government grants and subsidies than actually getting a car built. I hope I'm wrong, I'd love to see a new TVR on the roads.
One of Japan's finest.

Such a shame BMW don't make them like this any more. Stunning 8-Series with AC Schnitzer bits enjoying the Cheshire sunshine at Oulton Park recently. #GrowNostr #carstr

It was actually nearly ten years ago, where does the time go? I've got a gallery of photos here: http://retro-motoring.com/events/TVR-Back-Home-2013/

2005-2006 TVR Sagaris
The TVR Sagaris is a sports car designed and manufactured by the British car company TVR, which was founded in 1947. The Sagaris was produced between 2005 and 2006, with only 211 units ever built.

Its design is heavily influenced by TVR's racing heritage, with aerodynamics playing a significant role in its development. It is named after the ancient Greek battle-axe, the sagaris. The Sagaris was built on an evolutionary chassis that was used in previous TVR models, with some modifications to make it stiffer and more responsive. The car is powered by a 4.0-liter straight-six engine developed by TVR's engineering team, producing 406 horsepower and 349 lb-ft of torque. This potent powerplant propels the Sagaris from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 186 mph.

One of the unique features of the Sagaris is its bodywork, which consists of lightweight composite materials. The car's aggressive styling is accented by its sloping roofline, dramatically flared wheel arches, and dramatic rear diffuser.

The limited production numbers of the Sagaris, combined with its unique styling and impressive performance, make it a highly collectible car. The rarity of the Sagaris means that it is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of British sports cars, with prices for well-maintained examples commanding high prices at auction.

The Sagaris is a remarkable vehicle that embodies the spirit of British sports cars. Its unique styling, impressive performance, and limited production numbers have made it a highly sought-after collectible, as well as a revered piece of British automotive history. #cars #carstr #carchain #carporn #grownostr
The TVR factory was in Blackpool, about 90 minutes from me. I went there about five years ago - sadly after they'd shut down - to watch a celebratory parade and meeting of a good hundred or so TVRs of all ages. Quite a sight!
That's lovely! Bet it's quick too
This 1967 VW Beetle belongs to a good friend of mine. Imported to England from Arizona about ten years ago, the Savannah Beige paint has loads of patina and battle scars from it's past life as a bit of street racer. It's a Cal-Looker now with a proper nose-down stance and replica BRM wheels.
In the back is a 2.4 Type 1 motor, big carbs and a lovely roar from the exhaust. Somewhere between 160-170bhp, it's a 12-second car on the quarter mile. It's properly rapid on the road - but only in a straight line!
That's my Mk1 Golf GTI 'Campaign' on the right of the shot, the pair turn heads wherever they go.

I spent Sunday morning at the Liverpool Cars and Coffee meeting. Took my Mk1 Golf GTI and convoyed with a friend in his '67 Bug. So much good stuff to see! I loved this pair of BMW E24 6-Series, sharks will always be cool.

Peak LM24 for me was 1970/71 with the Gulf-Porsche 917s, as immortalised in the Steve McQueen film. Magnificent.

The "SEAC" is for "Special Edition Aramid Composite" - the first twenty or so had Kevlar body shells, with the rest being more conventional GRP.
